Final projects account for 40% of the overall course grade.
Final project presentations will take place on the last two days of class.
Presentations are allocated 10 minutes each: 8 minutes presentation and 2 minutes for questions. This amounts to 5 slides maximum (plus title slide), with the following outline:
Your name, name of the adivsor and title of the project.
Objective, motivations and challenges of the project.
What was the state of the art before your project and how it compares to your contribution.
What was the method followed by your project and why.
What are the results of your project.
What are the implications of your work and where would you go from here.
A final project report is due on Lec #25. No exceptions. The final paper must conform to the Final Project Paper Guidelines. (PDF) (Courtesy of Dr. Gil Alterovitz. Used with permission.)
