Research Project: Traditional Food Systems and Sustainability

We offer a one-year postdoctoral fellowship (with possible extension to two-years) to pursue research on Traditional Food Systens and Sustainability at the Centro de Investigaciones en Geografía Ambiental, Campus UNAM at Morelia, Michoacán. The research is oriented to support Traditional Food Systems (TTFS) in the Highlands of Central Mexico and to understand TTFS´s role for maize diversity conservation.
A strong commitment to multidisciplinary work in the natural-social sciences is required. The fellow will be expected to be in residence during the academic years of the fellowship, to conduct research, to participate in the intellectual activities of CIGA, and to disseminate scholarship to diverse audiences.
Applicants should have received their Phds less than three years prior of applying to this fellowship. Preference will ge given to candidates with a strong publication record and or field research experience.
