University of Vermont interim provost sets agenda

When the new semester began Jan. 14, newly installed interim provost Robert B. Low addressed a meeting of the University of Vermont’s faculty senate and told its members to prepare for some belt-tightening in the next budget year.

“Everyone is going to get less than they expected, on all sides — the academy and the administration,” he said of the spending plan for 2013-14, now in preparation.
