University Nixes Naked Campus Run

Citing concerns over participants' safety and the risk of student death, Tufts University said it will no longer sanction the annual Naked Quad Run.

The decades-long student tradition is a naked run through Res Quad to celebrate the end of fall semester classes. It will no longer be allowed to take place, University President Lawrence Bacow told Tufts Daily.

Bacow said the school can't support the event because of the inherent dangers it presents, particularly the serious risks to student safety....
