New UConn president is from Georgia

An administrator at Georgia’s public university system was expected to be named the University of Connecticut’s next president today, according to a source familiar with the search.

Susan Herbst, executive vice chancellor and chief academic officer for the University System of Georgia, was said to be ready to accept the position at an afternoon news conference on the UConn campus.
