University of Kansas to announce biggest grant in school history

TOPEKA | The University of Kansas is preparing to disclose details of what it calls the largest grant in its history.

Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little scheduled a news conference to announce the grant Tuesday afternoon at the state Department of Education in Topeka. State Education Commissioner Diane DeBacker was expected to participate.

The university issued a release about the news conference Monday but provided no details about the grant. University spokeswoman Jill Jess declined to comment.
