Teacher is found dead in laboratory at BU

An engineering professor at Boston University, Francesco Cerrina, was found dead in a fifth-floor lab at the university’s Photonics Center yesterday morning, BU officials said. Boston police have not released the cause of death, but have ruled out homicide, a police spokesman said. Police said there were no signs of trauma, and detectives are investigating the death as a noncriminal matter. BU officials said they had also notified the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, a standard procedure....
