Northeastern and Harvard take sharp course in advancing

That was some wild ride Northeastern and Boston University took last night in the opening round of the Women’s Beanpot at Harvard’s Bright Center. When it was over, NU had escaped with a 2-0 victory in the shootout that followed a 4-4 tie after regulation and overtime. The No. 7 Huskies (16-5-5), who hadn’t won any kind of game in the Beanpot since 2005, play sixth-ranked Harvard in next week’s championship.
