Oregon State coach Mike Riley has agreed to a three-year contract extension through the 2019 season, school officials announced Sunday night.

Riley, 56, reportedly was targeted by USC as the top choice to replace Pete Carroll as Carroll and the NFL Seahawks worked through contract details over the weekend.

"Due to the fact there is a lot of speculation on my future, I want to make it known that I'm very excited to be coaching at Oregon State University and I anticipate doing so for a long time,"....
