U.S. Department of Education details Wyoming sequester cuts

U.S. officials expect the Wyoming education system to lose nearly $5 million in federal school funds because of across-the-board federal budget cuts called the sequester.
A letter from the U.S. Department of Education received Wednesday evening by Gov. Matt Mead outlined $4.99 million in cuts to the 12 largest grant programs that schools in the state receive. The current estimates may be adjusted when Congress finalizes appropriations, according to the letter.
