  • The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) Department of Music invites applications for a collaborative pianist (accompanist), beginning in the Fall 2022 semester, which starts on August 30, 2022. The successful candidate will provide collaborative piano support for undergraduate music majors, select non-music majors, and/or ensembles, e.g., choirs. Compensation is on a per hour basis.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Provide collaborative piano support during private studio lessons, studio classes, and various recital performances.
    Participate in end-of-semester juries.
    Participate in performance auditions for prospective music majors.
    Qualifications:

    Earned Master’s degree in collaborative piano or piano performance is required. DMA is preferred.
    At least 2 years of successful college-level staff collaborative pianist experience.
    Extensive experience as a staff/official collaborative pianist for such institutions or events as opera companies, choral organizations, vocal/instrumental workshops, conferences, festivals, and/or solo competitions; experience beyond the regional level is highly desirable.
