  • Job Summary
    The Administrative Assistant will provide specialized logistical and administrative support for the programs and events for student scholarship, development, career services, and outreach programs for the College of Agriculture’s (CoA) Assistant Director for Career Services and Scholarship Coordinator. This individual will work with departmental career service and scholarship coordinators to keep information current and transparent as well as serve as career services assistant while interacting with agriculture employers, students, Purdue University Center for Career Opportunities (CCO) and each department within the CoA. Additional duties will include but are not limited to:



    Coordinating specialized support for scholarship coordination and create data reports from the Division of Financial Aid (DFA) Office
    Maintaining scholarship and career services website
    Reconciliation of expenses
    Serving as main point of contact for telephone inquiries and for walk-in visitors for OAP when student assistants are not available
    Possibly manage and supervise OAP student assistant hiring, schedules and assignments
    Developing and maintaining digital signage in the Office of Academic Programs Center for Student Leadership
    Back up other support positions in OAP as needed and any additional duties, as assigned, by the Associate Dean & Director of Academic Programs
    Required:
    High school diploma/GED
    2 years of experience in a clerical or administrative support role
    Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills
    Ability to handle frequent interruptions, balance multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality
    Strong organizational and time management skills and attention to detail
    Computer and related software skills to include managing web content, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, etc
    Typing, drafting, filing, data entry, proofreading and editing skills
    Ability to identify routine problems and implement or recommend solutions

    FLSA: Non-Exempt (Eligible for Overtime)
