This simulation illustrates a typical relationship between predator and prey populations. You can customize rabbits' (prey) and wolves' (predator) rates of birth, as well as the size of their initial populations.
Although each wolf and each rabbit are modeled separately, the aggregation of multiple models shows the validity of ecological laws as applied to the entire population. Note that the model displays the oscillations of wolves' and rabbits' populations in anti-phase. It is based on the assumption that the predator population is normally ten times smaller than the prey population.
