Dance of the Bee

The bees are collective insects. When a worker bee finds food, it returns to the hive and informs the other bees about the location of the food by means of a special bee "dance". The bee dance trajectory is largely defined by the distance to the food source and the azimuth in respect to the sun. Press "Run" button and wait for the bee to find food. Once it does, click on "Show Trajectory" button.

Press "Stop" button to bring the animation to a halt, and press "Reset" to return the model to its initial state. Observe how the trajectory of the bee changes if you modify the location of the food in respect to the hive, especially when the borderline circles that are marked by the dark lines intersect. Change the location of food source by dragging it around the field with your mouse, and observe the ensuing changes in the bee dance.
