This model is a 3D representation of the Sun and the area that surrounds it in the vicinity of several dozen light years.
Position of the observer in respect to the Sun may be changed by two methods. You may enter different values in the input windows that correspond to the three angular coordinates, or you may drag any galaxy to a new place with your mouse. Dragging the Sun with the mouse will result in a bias of its center rather than in rotation of its reference frame.
You may change the image scale with the aid of "Scale" input windows. The color of the stars corresponds to their spectral class.
A separate group of switches allows you to modify the display with star names. The names of the brightest stars are displayed when the model is in Default mode. Names of other stars become visible when you point your cursor at them.
