The simulation demonstrates the behavior of a particle in a linear ?box?. That means that the concerned particle is trapped in a one-dimensional region with length L. The model illustrates a wave-nature of the particle which was discovered by Lous de Brogle in 1927. The frequency and wavelength of the particle?s associated de Brogle wave are related to the particle total energy E = γmc2 and momentum p = γmv this way: f = E/h and λ=h/p. You are allowed to change the length of the ?box? L and the mass of the particle.
