Velocity and Displacement
This model illustrates the concepts of displacement and velocity in a body that moves in a rectilinear motion of with a constant speed along the X-axis. The graph of the body motion x(t) is composed of straight line segments. These segments can be modified by moving the points A, B, C, D, E and F along the graph with your mouse. As the body moves alongside each of the segments on the graph, its velocity v and displacement s appear on display.
