The volume V of a prismatoid can be found by means of the formula ,

V = 1/6?H?(S1 + 4S + S2)

where H is its altitude ( the distance between its bases planes), S1 and S2 - are the areas of the bases, S - the area of the middle section ( the section that is parallel to the bases planes and bisects the altitude).
