Differentiation of functions

A derivative of a function f(x) at point x0 is a limit of quotient of an increment of the function (Δy) and an increment of the argument (Δx) ratio when an increment of the argument tends to 0.

In this model you can enter functions in the text field f(x), change the point of differentiation x0 and the increment of the argument Δx. The corresponding increment of the function and Δyx is calculated automatically.
