The Alma College Library houses a main collection of over 246,000 volumes and 1,200 periodical titles. It is open 97 hours per week during the Academic Year.
On February 2, 1996, Alma College library concluded almost ten months of planning, moving and constructing with the dedication of the new Colina wing. A gift from John and Nancy Colina in 1993 made the wing possible.
In Fall 2006, the library completed a renovation project, the highlights of which include additional small group study rooms and the M.J.J. Smith Room — a collaborative teaching and learning space, as well as the Highland Java cafe.
