Bennington offers a number of resources to help ensure the health and wellness of all members of the community. Students, faculty, and staff have access to Meyer Recreation Barn, the campus fitness center. All students living on campus eat at the Dining Hall, as do many faculty and staff, and every meal includes a number of healthy options, including vegan and vegetarian selections.
Both Health Services and Psychological Services are conveniently located in Commons, the central campus building that houses the Dining Halls and Post Office. All students participate in a supplemental accident and sickness plan as part of the required health service charge. The plan provides year-round supplemental health insurance coverage for students, including most office visits and laboratory tests performed by the Health Services staff.
Bennington College also has a Wellness Committee that works with Health Services, Psychological Services, and Student Life staff to discuss issues concerning health and psychological services on campus, as well as to assist with community outreach education programming.
