A nurse is available from 8:30 am - 11:45 am and from 1:30 pm - 4:45 pm to see students who are sick. There is no charge for this service, and no appointment is necessary. There is also no charge for over-the-counter medications dispensed by the nurse. An assessment will be made and treatment administered, with appropriate physician referral as necessary.
Allergy shots are administered by the nurse to students who bring their prescribed medications with physician instructions to Adams Center. There is no charge for this service. The first injection must be given at prescribing M.D.'s office.
A physician is available from Noon - 1 pm Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, and on Wednesday from 5 pm - 6 pm. An appointment is not necessary. Students are seen on a first come, first serve basis. For every physician visit there is a $22 charge. There is an additional $8 charge for most prescription medications. These charges will be billed by the Business Office if the student is not covered by AHP insurance.

The nurse performs pregnancy tests and urinalysis for urinary tract infection. Tests for strep throat are also available in the clinic if the student presents with clinical symptoms. These tests are given at the nurse's discretion. There is no charge for these lab tests.
Loan items such as crutches, heating pads, splints, nebulizers, humidifiers, and slings are available through the clinic at no charge.
The nurse also gives referrals for Opthamologists, Optometrists, Dentists, and other specialists and provides assistance with prescriptions.
