The tutorial component offers individual and group tutoring for students requesting assistance with class assignments. The University's upper-class students, who are selected on the basis of academic performance, conduct tutorial sessions in English, mathematics, critical thinking and the sciences.
All prospective participants must submit an application to the Student Support Services Program Office. Once the application is submitted and reviewed by the staff, applicants are selected and enrolled in the Program on the basis of federal eligibility requirements.
The Student Support Services Program will notify applicants of their acceptance in the Program. The staff will conduct a comprehensive needs assessment on each applicant. After the assessment process is completed, students will be scheduled for tutoring and other academic activities.
Academic support services provided by the Program are free. The only fee is the time required for your success. The services are available throughout the academic year, including Summer Session I and II.
