Joyner Library is the largest library on the ECU campus and one of the largest information resources in North Carolina. It provides library resources and services that support the research, teaching, and service goals of East Carolina University, with a primary focus on the colleges within the Division of Academic Affairs.
The Laupus Library provides health sciences information, resources, and services for Eastern North Carolina with a primary focus on colleges and schools within the Division of Health Sciences.
A department of Joyner Library, the Music Library is located on the first floor of the A.J. Fletcher Music Building. As the largest collection of music-related media materials, scores, books, and journals in eastern North Carolina, the Music Library serves not only the specialized needs of ECU School of Music and School of Theatre and Dance faculty, staff and students, but also the needs of church musicians, music educators, performers, and music lovers throughout eastern North Carolina.
ECU Library Resources provides online access to tens of thousands of journals, reference materials, e-books, and databases. Using their PirateID, faculty, students and staff can access these resources from off-campus. The ECU Library Resources Web page also includes a link to the libraries' combined online catalog and to expert research assistance. Some of the resources are funded by the
Virtual Library @ East Carolina University budget.
