Information Services (IS) is the umbrella for four support areas serving
the campus. These areas include Library Services, Computing Services (ECS),
Instructional Technology and Media (ITAM, formerly Media Resources), and
Web Management and Services (WMS).
These pages are an internal resource as well as a useful tool to be used by
external constituents to gain a better understanding of our current
capabilities and infrastructure. Both audiences may have an interest in viewing the campus Copyright Policy recently approved by the Faculty.
Prospective students, admitted students, and parents may find our Evaluating Information Services at Earlham page to be highly informative and useful. This page is based on a set of questions provided by Educause in their Guide to Evaluating IT on Campus.
Information Services Calendars lists a number of separate calendars for the computer labs serviced by Computing Services, Library spaces and events in Lilly and Wildman libraries, and Instructional Technology and Media spaces.
Assessment. The College stresses the importance of assessment as a mechanism for improvement. The administrative mechanism for doing that is the annual Unit Plan. Also, from time to time surveys of performance are done. These include the LibQual and the Merged Information Services Organization (MISO) surveys. The annual Unit Plans and the survey results are available on the Assessment page.
