USU bans tobacco sales on Logan campus

LOGAN » Utah State University has banned tobacco sales and advertising on the northern Utah campus.

USU's Board of Trustees voted unanimously for the ban on Friday. The vote is largely symbolic because an information prohibition on cigarettes and alcohol is already in place. However, the decision will impact a small on-campus convenience store which sells lighters and several brands of cigarettes.
