UI Spends $175,000 To Find Job Candidates

State records show the University of Iowa spent more than $175,000 as it searched over the last year for candidates to fill four senior level positions.

The Iowa City Press-Citizen reported Monday that those positions included an art museum director, a College of Law dean, a chief diversity officer and a vice president for strategic communications. State Sen. Bob Dvorsky of Coralville says while the total amounts seems high the university needed to find "high quality" candidates.
