More tough budget decisions ahead for NU

Even before budget cuts were enacted during the November special legislative session, the University of Nebraska cut 103 jobs this fiscal year to make up for an $8.5 million budget shortfall.

Now NU leaders must cut another $8.8 million this fiscal year and $15.3 million next fiscal year to make up for cuts senators approved in the special session.

In a letter to the Legislature's Appropriation Committee, NU President J.B. Milliken said university leaders have yet to determine specific reductions....
