    This is an Internal Employment Opportunity.

    This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (approximately 16 hours per week) Executive Support Specialist 2 position for the Office of Research Integrity at Oregon State University (OSU).

    This is a limited duration appointment expected to last approximately 12 to 24 months from the appointment begin date.

    The Office of Research Integrity (ORI) supports OSU’s commitment to engaging in exceptional research by collaborating with faculty, staff, and students to facilitate ethical research and ensure regulatory compliance.

    This is a short-term position expected to last 12 to 24 months. The incumbent will provide confidential administrative support and coordinate work within ORI. The purpose of the position is to provide administrative and analytic support for the Program for Responsible Research Practices in coordinating research misconduct proceedings and updating policies and procedures to align with the recently changes to federal regulations. This may include direct administrative support to management and the AVPR.

    What We Require
    One year of experience performing administrative duties in support of agency projects or programs. Qualifying experience would involve data collection and analysis; project evaluation and/or analysis; interpretation and application of laws, rules, and regulations; or similar experience.
    What You Will Need
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    Proficiency with the MS Office suite of software
    Demonstrable organizational and problem-solving skills
    Strong interpersonal skills
    Ability to create and maintain complex scheduling
    Demonstrable experience working independently, being self-directed, making decisions, using judgment, anticipating needs and functioning effectively in a highly demanding environment
    Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and diverse team environment

    This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.
    What We Would Like You to Have
    Experience conducting misconduct investigations (e.g., academic, research, or similar)
    Prior administrative support or similar experience in higher education, law, or medical setting
    Experience with event planning
    Project coordination experience
