Job Summary:
The individual chosen for this position will join the Department of Finance, Investment and Banking at the Wisconsin School of Business (WSB). We seek a candidate with the ability to educate high-achieving students enrolled in Finance courses. The selected candidate will teach up to six sections of fall and/or spring session undergraduate and/or graduate courses.
We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate strong expertise in Finance concepts developed through industry, research, and/or teaching experience. A highly-qualified candidate will have experience in training or delivery of financial concepts either internal or external to their organization.
The mission of our Finance program is to prepare students to master and apply Finance skills effectively in the contemporary workplace. Our lecturers strive to help students achieve stated learning outcomes through both independent content creation and collaboration where appropriate. The Finance curriculum is intentionally sequenced to help students build upon skills year-over-year as they prepare to become workplace ready. We encourage our lecturers to engage with industry and to build relationships with students, alumni, and external partners.
Responsibilities:
Facilitates classroom, online, and/or laboratory instruction and assists with instructional development and design for a single course or series of courses within an academic discipline to support the delivery of quality instruction. Provides for-credit instruction in formats such as classroom, online and/or laboratory settings, including grading. Serves as an instructor of record.
50% Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance
25% Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
25% Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations

Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working or teaching in Finance or a related field.
Preferred:
- Candidates with a strong commitment to teaching excellence at undergraduate and master's levels
- Candidates with a record of high-quality instruction in a student-centered environment
- Candidates with an enthusiasm for collaborative learning environments
- Candidates with an interest in educational technologies and innovation
- The ideal candidate will have Industry experience and credentials or expertise to instruct a wide variety of finance courses, in particular courses on investment banking, business valuations and derivatives
