The GRE exam is complete computer adaptive now, which means as you are taking the exam, the computer will be able to determine and offer you the next questions depending on whether you have answered the previous question correctly or not. If you keep missing questions, then the level of difficulty will lower for the next question until you get them correct.

I guess this is good and bad for people. Since it's computer-controlled regarding the difficulty of the questions, you can actually get 'some' points from answering the easy questions correctly. However, during the course of the exam, when you realize your questions are getting easier and easier, you know you are doing bad on the exam. That kind of mess with your confidence level.
