Academic Programs :
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology awards degrees in five schools organized under the Academic Affairs branch of the University. The Schools of Science, Engineering, and Business and Management offer undergraduate and postgraduate programs through to the doctorate. The School of Humanities and Social Science provides general education for all undergraduates and enrolls graduate students up to the doctoral level.

Hong Kong Students
Through the Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS), HKUST admits students to the undergraduate programs based on their current and/or past HKALE results.
For entry to an undergraduate program of study at HKUST, prospective students would have to satisfy both the General University Admission Requirements and specific Program Admission Requirements.
Admission to the University is selective. Eligible applicants may be requested to attend personal interviews or take additional tests administered by the University for further assessment. Holding the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission.

Please note that admission to HKUST is competitive; meeting the minimum requirements and/or the competitive score range does not necessarily guarantee admission. Students admitted based on qualifications that require less than 13 years of schooling are normally required to complete additional credits for graduation.
